Flood death toll rises to 4; situation still grim

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: The death toll in the latest wave of flood in Arunachal Pradesh rose to three as overall flood situation in Arunachal Pradesh, especially eastern districts remained grim.

According to Lohit district administration source, two persons drowned in Durra nalla area. While the body of one person has been recovered, search operation was going on to trace the other. Earlier, on Sept 19, a 22 year-old student Bablu Nath of Sunpura had drowned in Balijan river water.

Meanwhile, Likabali SDO informed that a person, namely, Bhuvani Barman fell down from the land slide zone in Likabali area and drowned  into Siji River. His  body was recovered later.

Arunachal Pradesh Governor General (Retd) J J Singh  expressed shock on learning the recovery of one of the dead bodies by the rescue team from Durra River at Tezu and deeply mourned the loss of  three precious lives in flood and landslide.

The Governor appealed to the people of the State and the district administrations to be alert and take necessary precautions.

Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has also deeply mourned the death of two persons. One dead body was recovered today by the rescue team from Durra River at Tezu today. The bodies are yet to be identified and claimed.

Terming the death as very unfortunate, Tuki has announced an ex-gratia of Rs.1.50 lacs each to the next of the kith and kins of the deceased. He appealed the people of the state to be alert to cope up with the alarming flood situation triggered by the incessant rain while assuring that government is doing all out effort to rescue the marooned to the safer places.

Meanwhile, concerned over the serious devastation made by the nature’s fury in the East Siang District, CM today released Rs. 10 Lac as immediate relief to the district.

The IAF team rescued 9 marooned persons and lifted 30 patients including attendants to Mohanbari from Tezu for further treatment during its return journey. Twenty-four relief camps are currently operational with 4150 refugees.

Hundreds of livestock have been rescued and shifted to safer places. However, many of those were drowned and washed away by flood water. Major damages were occurred to transmission line, electric poles and water supply causing total disruption in the essential services. However, water tankers are being pressed into service for supplying drinking water in the district headquarters. The district Hq is also experiencing acute shortage of POL and LPG due to disruption of surface communication, it informed. Many Agriculture and Horticulture field with crops and cultivation land were either damaged or washed away, the sources said adding that damage assessment will be done after receding of floods.

Finance, Planning and PWD Minister Chowna Mein and MLA Nang Sati Mein were camping at Namsai and visited all flood affected areas of Namsai today. Communication by country boat has been established between Chongkham and Alubari/ Napatia villages. MLA Chow Tewa Mein is also camping at Chowkham supervising relief operation.

Tezu MLA Karikho Kri and the DC R.K.Sharma made an extensive tour of all flood affected villages and Tezu township area.

BRO authorities pressed man and material on war footing to restore surface communication between Tezu and Sunpura and Tezu and Brahmakund Parsuram route. BRO also constructed a baily bridge at NH 52 Dimwe route, Gunny bag bund wall to protect Danglat bridge and Forest Check gate near Danglat to connect district Hq. with Sunpura circle and other adjoining villages of Tezu circle.

Meanwhile, floodwater started receding gradually after creating havoc for four days in the district. The intensity of rain also reduced from last night as only 112.00 mm rainfall was recorded in the last 24 hours at Tezu.

At Chowkham, Lohit river breached its bank at Sibrimukh and Chaglikuti area and completely flooded Alubari area, Tengapani and 21 other villages in Jona, Borbheel and Mengkengmiri area.

At Namsai and Lekang area Noa-Dehingriver flooded Silatoo, Dharampur and Mahadevpur area. Heavy Bank erosion displaced people at Nampong and Silatoo. Five relief camp were set up in Namsai, two in Lekang circle, 7 in Chowkham Circle and 2 in Piyong circle to give temporary shelter to more than 3000 displaced and rescued people.

WRD Minister Newlai Tingkatra along with Minister Mein made an aerial survey of the area to take stock of flood situation yesterday.

Medical teams are working round-the-clock and visiting all the relief camps. The Panchayat Members and the youth leaders under the supervision of local MLA Nang Sati Mein are assisting the management of various relief camps

The extent of damages which is likely to cross rupees hundreds of crores are being prepared by the departments concerned

Pasighat DIPRO adds: Flood situation remained grim in East Siang district as flood water submerged various villages under Mebo circle and new and low lying areas of Pasighat township.

Flood submerged entire Mer, Gadum and other nearby villages of Mebo circle and low lying areas of Pasighat town, specially the market, AIR colony DST colony APP reserve colony etc  Though the villagers have been shifted to safer places there is report of acute shortage of food items in flood affected villages.

The Bridge over Siku has been washed away along with a huge portion of the road leaving the whole of the Mebo area inaccessible. Arrangement for dropping the essential commodities and rescue operation is being done on emergency basis.

East Siang deputy commissioner RK Mishra along with DFCSO Gautom Mibang arranged essential commodities and dispatched the items to the affected areas.

The DC along with the EE (WRD) Genom Perme visited Boying village where Sibokorong has posed a great threat to whole of Pasighat township. An alternative drain from the Market has been constructed on emergency basis with the help of the GREF and other public volunteers to ease out the water logging at the Bazar area.

Oni Jamoh EE(PWD) who is supervising the restoration works informed that all men and machineries have been pressed into service for immediate restoration works.

In an emergency review meeting with officers and public leaders, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the district administration was ready to face any exigencies. He reiterated the need to create Civil Defence Force to face such situations.

Dr. M. Perme, DMO informed that his department is fully ready to prevent and check any possible outbreak of any epidemic during or after the flood.

The executing agencies informed that flood damage reports will be submitted to the high level committee, which is visiting Pasighat tomorrow.

Tayeng & villagers come together in fighting flood

ITANAGAR, Sept 23:  The devastating flood in Dibang Valley district, particularly at Jia village, one of the worst affected villages in the district,  brought the local MLA Jomin Tayeng, villagers and flood victims  together. They  conducted a social service today  to divert the over flowing  flood water of Dolong River to protect  the village.

Tayeng provided a JCB  to the villagers which helped to dig canal  for diverting the flow of water. Expressing gratitude to local MLA for engaging a JCB, the villagers requested him to immediately restore the damaged steel bridge and approach road over Getek River along Jia and Abali road.

 

 

Green Pioneers conduct Doimukh

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: Continuing their efforts to make capital complex a better place to live in the volunteers of “Green Pioneers” today carried out clean-up drive at Doimukh, one of the oldest towns of Arunachal Pradesh situated few kilometers away from capital complex.

Though it was raining heavily, the volunteers who included young students and old guards started arriving campaign venue in large number since 6 am onwards.

 

The revolutionary “Green Pioneers” has been inspiring citizens of capital with their dedication and sincerity to keep capital complex clean. The clean drive movement which began in the month of April has since then has attained a ‘cult movement’. They had organized clean drive campaign at Naharlagun market, Gyeker Sinyi (Ganga Lake), IG Park and Itanagar Gompa.

Unlike other organizations which depend on donation and funds to organize even a small social service, the Green Pioneers carry out their work with contributions of their own members and few well wishers. Majority of volunteers of Green Pioneer came in contact through social networking sites. For a hopeless state like us, the selfless service of Green Pioneers does give us a lot of hope for the future.

 

 

Landslide claims one in Likabali

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: Heavy downpour has left a trail of devastation in Likabali area. Flash flood followed by torrential rain since Sept 17 damaged many private and public properties in Likhabali Sub Division, informed SDO Likabali in a release today.

Major landslide triggered by rain caused road blockade at 3km point of Likabali-Aalo BRTF road. One person, namely, Bhuvani Barman fell down from the land slide zone and drowned into Siji River. His  body was recovered later. However, a government employee B B Pandey,  Seppa who has also fallen from the  landslide zone was rescued the next day by police personnel of Likabali Police Station, BRTF officers and labourers.

The SDO further informed that in Likabali Township, Liru and Lipu villages have been submerged by flood water. Besides these the incessant rain and flood has also caused huge loss and damages of properties at Kangku and Gensi circles but detail assessment report is awaited. Educational institutions are not functioning in the area due to incessant rain and flood,  the release added.

 

 

Prime accused in Samuel murder case nabbed

RUKSIN, Sept 23: Ruksin police on Saturday arrested Kejeng Musahari alias Mendela (25) the prime accused in Samuel Koyu murder case from Kebang Poglek village under Pangin circle in East Siang district.

Kejeng, a native of Odalguri in Assam was declared absconding and police were making all out efforts to nab him. However, the police, acting on a tip-off, nabbed the hardcore criminal at 7.30 pm from Yembung hydel project at Kebang. He was working as wage labourer in the hydel project.

Police earlier arrested two other accused - Sunu Goyari and Sumel Goyari in connection to this case and the duo had confessed their involvement in the murder case. Police is also searching for another co-accused Sabrang Basumatary of Simenchapori (Assam), who is still absconding.

Police are hopeful that detailed of the modus operandi including plots behind the murder will come to light after interrogation of the prime accused. Arrested Kejeng is under police custody till filing of this report.

 

 

Sonia assures central assistance to flood-hit Arunachal

NEW DELHI, Sept 23: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki along with CWC Member-cum-AICC in-Charge Arunachal Dr Dhaniram Shandil called on UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi here yesterday and made an appeal for central assistance to cope with the crisis.

Apprising Sonia Gandhi of the havoc created by incessant rains since a couple of weeks in the state that has even taken a toll on human lives, Tuki urged for immediate assessment of damaged and relief measures. Assuring the CM that Center is aware of the situation, Sonia Gandhi said that a Central Team would soon be dispatched to Arunachal Pradesh to take stock of the flood damages. She assured all possible assistance from the Central Government to rebuild damages caused by sudden floods in the state.

Tuki also apprised the AICC President of the initiatives put in by the Congress Government in the state to uplift the living standard of the common mass through judicious and transparent implementation of all central as well as state government programmes and projects. He assured the Congress President of a ‘People’s Government’ in Arunachal Pradesh for all times to come.

On a request by the Chief Minister, Gandhi also promised to visit the State in the later part of October next with AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi.

Later in the day, Tuki along with Lok Sabha MP Takam Sanjoy made a courtesy call on Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid. In the interaction that followed, Tuki and Sanjoy briefed the Union Minister on the number of cases pending with the judiciary pertaining to Arunachal Pradesh. They observed that delay in resolving the cases have been taking a toll on the people as well as the government in various aspects.

The Chief Minister appealed the Law Minister to consider establishment of an independent High Court for Arunachal Pradesh. He observed that with an independent High Court, judiciary will become more efficient in the state and deliver speedy justice to the people.

 

 

Governor flags off mountaineering expedition to Mount Gorichen

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: Arunachal Pradesh Governor flagged off a mountaineering expedition to Mount Gorichen (6488 meters), one of the highest mountains in eastern Himalayan located in Arunachal Pradesh, at Raj Bhavan here today. It is a 26 days expedition.

Flagging off the expedition, the Governor JJ Singh wished the team on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh and expressed confidence in their climbing experience and capability. He advised the team members to maintain team spirit and said individual achievements do not count in mountaineering expeditions.

A mountaineer himself and trained under world renowned mountaineers, Late Tenzing Norgay and Late Nawang Gombu, General Singh advised them to respect the mountains, not to challenge the terrain and weather and not to become over confident.

Recalling Late Norgay’s advice to him, who said ‘Don’t look up to the top while climbing. Look around and enjoy the surroundings. Walk with a natural gait and don’t exhaust yourself’, General Singh advised the mountaineers to stick to basic rules of mountaineering during the expedition.

While stating that he will be following the progress of the expedition, like he had done during Everest expeditions of Tapi Mra, Anshu Jamsenpa and Tine Mina, the Governor enquired about the medical arrangements, means of communication and equipment for the team.

In his address, Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) President Col. H.S. Chauhan said that Arunachal Pradesh has huge scope for adventure sports and IMF is keen to be a partner in mountaineering activities in the state. He added that such activities are good for the Arunachalee youth, who will be facilitators in the future. The IMF president expressed his hope that the expedition will be a successful one as all the expeditions flagged off by General Singh have always been successful.

Col Chauhan, who has traversed across the State from Tuting to Bumla as an Army officer advised the participants never to underestimate the mountains, nature and the weather and take precautions.   

As a token of love and gratitude, IMF President presented a mountaineering memento to the Governor, who has been taking immense interest and has been encouraging mountaineering activities in the State.

Speaking on the occasion Arunachal Mountaineering & Adventure Sports Association (AMASA) President Tsering Wange expressed gratitude to the Governor for his untiring assistance and encouragement in adventure sports and mountaineering activities in the state. AMASA President informed that State Tourism Minister Pema Khandu and Sports Authority of Arunachal Pradesh Chairman Tapak Taku have conveyed their best wishes to the team for a successful expedition.

Secretary to Governor Ankur Garg, Special Secretary (Finance) Swati Sharma, State Sports and Youth affairs Director D K Dinglow, First Everester of the State Tapi Mra and officials of Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh were present on the occasion.

It is the first mountaineering expedition jointly organized by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh and Indian Mountaineering Foundation.

Led by Dr. K.Romeo Meetei, the 13-member team includes three Everesters Anshu Jamsengpa, Tine Mina and ITBP Inspector Lobsang Sherpa. Jamsengpa and Lobsang Sherpa have reached the summit of Mount Everest Summit twice. Sherpa has 12 successful expeditions under his belt. The team has mountaineers from Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Assam, Jammu & Kashmir and Indo Tibetan Border Police. Five mountaineers from Arunachal Pradesh including KN Damo, Deputy Resident Commissioner, Delhi, who is the Liaison Officer and Field Advisor of the team and Nima Lama, are taking part in the expedition. The climbing team has a six-member support team of Sherpas from Darjeeling.

The team will leave Bomdila on September 27 and will reach the Base Camp at Chakarsam, which is 5000 meters on October three. The team is expected to reach the Camp-1 on October 7, at Camp-II  on October 9 and reach the summit on October 11.

Speaking on the sideline of the flagging off ceremony, Liaison Officer and Field Advisor of the team KN Damo, who is the only climber to climb Mount Gorichen three times and has five mountaineering expeditions under his belt, informed that Mount Gorichen is one of the technically difficult peaks of the world to climb owing to its terrain, rock face, avalanche and crevasse zones and ice wall. He added that in Arunachal Pradesh and eastern Himalayas, it is second only to Mount Kangto, which has a height of 7050 meters.  PRO to Raj Bhavan.

 

 

Water stagnation creates havoc in Pasighat town, civil societies conduct cleanliness drive

PASIGHAT, Sept 23: No doubt the urban development department has been spending huge amount of funds for development of Pasighat township, the head quarter of East Siang district every year, but the century-old town is still in pitiable condition, which is causing a great deal of sensation among the denizens here.

The Pasighat area, 38-Pasighat East constituency may appear to have grown from some perspectives in the last few decades, but the ground reality denotes that development is still to encompass the densely populated township and its adjoining areas.

The township is still lacking civic amenities. Due to lack of proper drainage system in the township area, life of the local residents becomes so miserable that they have to pass difficult time particularly in the rainy season as the water stagnation at several portion of the township is a regular phenomenon, which is turning more serious these days due to heavy and incessant rainfall.

Observing the awful situation of Pasighat township, various sections of local people led by public leader Kaling Moyong, today conducted a drive for cleaning the drains and market area so that  clogged water flow out from the main bazaar area and its roads. The district disaster management department and GREF personnel, who were also put into service, also cleaned the blocked drains at police line, daily bazaar and Police Station area.

 

 

CS visits landslide area near Tawang monastery

Tawang, Sept 23: Chief Secretary (Incharge) cum Principal Secretary to the Chief Ministers, Yeshi Tsering, along with the Deputy Commissioner Tawang Kemo Lollen and others visited the massive landslide and sinking areas near Tawang Monastery yesterday.

The Tawang DC apprised the Chief Secretary that a drainage had also been constructed and completed for proper disposal of the sewage water of the Tawang Monastery.  Despite these measure, the unprecedented heavy rainfall continues to cause damages/landslide and this year too, around 4-5 mtrs of landslide occurred at this site.

The Chief Secretary and all the officials expressed their concern on the unusual landslide which could also obliterate the very existence of the Tawang Monastery. The team later visited the Kangteng Nala, 9 kms from Tawang, the area where the landslide culminates, bringing with it huge boulders and mud.

The Chief Secretary remarked after inspecting the landslide site that a multipronged and multidisciplinary action has to be initiated. He also said that a high level technical committee shall be constituted to study the problem of the site.

It is to be mentioned here that the famous Tawang Monastery was built in the year 1681. It is a witness to the history of the area since the last 400 years. It is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India and attracts a large number of visitors every year. Apart from these, the monastery is also an important centre for Buddhist learning and cultural studies. The lives of the people of Tawang are intricately connected to this monastery. But today, the landslide near the monastery has been a concern to the very existence of the monastery. DIPRO

 

 

SLF pleads for job reservation for Puroiks

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: Claiming that some Puroiks (Solung) are still living in slavery in some part of Arunachal Pradesh, Sango Lamte Foundation (SLF) has expressed keen interest on working for all round development of the socially and economically deprived community.

“The Purioks--the most backwardness community in state-- are still living in the dark age. They are still socially deprived/excluded and the light of ray is yet to reach the community,” SLF chairman Pai Gyadi said in a release and advocated for introducing job reservation for the Puroiks (Solung).

Purioks are very active, smart and by defaults they are expert in jungle related activities and carrying out dangerous operations which make them very fit for police force, Gyadi said.

SLF is ready to help by giving awareness on working of Indian Constituency if Puroik Community interested and corporate so that they can fully enjoy with working of Indian constitution. To help deprived sections of society and community is one of aims and objectives in Sango Lamte Foundation (SLF)’s Bye-Laws. SLF support genuine demands made by Puroik Community.

The SLF chairman appealed to the various student unions to look into the pathetic educational scenario of the Puroiks and work for improving it. He also called upon research scholars to do research on Puroik community and their life style and their education scenario.

It is worth mentioning here that Rangbang (Tasse in Nyishi) is one of favorite foods of the Purioks. Now, it is available in local markets and becoming a source of income for Puroik community. The state government can initiate step by launching a Rangbang plantation scheme, especially for Puroik (Solung) community to boost their economy, the release added.

Arunachal officials take part in regional workshop  at Shillong

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: The official team of Town Planning and Urban Local Body, Government of Arunachal Pradesh participated a regional workshop on “Status and Provision of Mixed land use for North Eastern State”, at Shillong on September 21 organized by the Urban Affairs, Government of Meghalaya and sponsored by the Town and Country Planning Organization Delhi, GOI.

The Director, Town Planning and ULBs Amoy Morang, while addressing the participants apprised about the  structural development of all the towns in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in a haphazard manner and prevalence of mixed land use and living standard of its denizens.

Besides Morang, town planner Likha Suraj, two assistant town planner from Itanagar and one each from Bomdila, Pasighat and Tezu participated the regional workshop at shillong.

 

APCC reacts

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has taken strong exception to the reports published in some sections of media accusing the APCC of transferring Rs one crore through some contractor to New Delhi for All India Congress Committee (AICC).

“Despite clear cut denial by APCC President and Rajya Sabha member Mukut Mithi about any knowledge about such a transaction whatsoever, the media has intentionally dragged the APCC in an attempt to tarnish the image of the party,” APCC said in a release. The party has no business to send money to AICC that too through a contractor as the media reported.

The APCC cautioned one and all to refrain from dragging APCC or Congress into controversy or else the APCC would be left with no alternative but to seek legal remedy to protect its image, the release added.

 

District Food security mission executive body meeting held

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: Along with launching of National Food Security Mission-Rice, an executive body meeting of the District Food Security Mission was held in Office of District Agriculture Officer, Daporijo on September 18 last.

ADC G Ete and D.Lida, DAO, who chaired the meeting explained in details about the National Food Security Mission -Rice scheme which aims at increasing production of Rice, restoring soil fertility, employment opportunities and enhancement of farm level economy etc.

Strategies like involvement of all stake holder at various level, promotion and extension of improved technologies like seed, Integrated Nutrient management (INM), soil amendments, integrated pest management (IPM) would be adopted to achieve various objectives.

Ete advised all stake holder to work in missionary mood and in team spirit. He advised farmers present to make best use of scheme to be self-sufficient in Rice.

 

Leopard cat cubs and Slow Loris released in D Ering Sanctuary

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: The two Leopard Cat cubs which were rescued in May 7 last from nearby Ledum Village, East Siang District by some villagers and nurtured at Centre for Bear Rehabilitation and Conservation, Seijosa were brought back to D Ering Wildlife Sanctuary and released today safely along with a Slow Loris.

The orphan Leopard Cats were sent to Seijosa four months ago by DFO Wildlife’s initiation. Now healthy and almost fully grown up cubs were brought back here by Wildlife Trust of India’s Veterinary Van accompanied by Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Jahan Ahmed, WTI Co-ordinator and Regional Head North-East-Sunil Kyarong and Wildlife Biologist-Tamo Dada.

‘The Leopard Cats were timely warmed and vaccinated. They were provided live preys to develop predicator skills which would later help them in wild life after release’, informed Dr Ahmed. Kyarong.

Dada said, ‘D Ering Wildlife Sanctuary is a perfect home for wildlife and its heading toward perfection. People here are also getting conscious of preservation and conservation which could be seen by the participation of PRI leaders who accompanied them in the release’. The Sanctuary is also a perfect place for Tiger Reserve, added the team.

DFO Wildlife T Mize has sought their further help in his effort to bring this Sanctuary to the perfection. The Tigers are also coming back to the Sanctuary, he informed. WTI has been closely working with the Sanctuary authority now.

 

NSUI unit organizes health camp at Balijan

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: Papum Pare NSUI Unit yesterday organized a free health check-up  cum awareness camp at Balijan. Apart from health check up, free HIV counseling, voluntary blood donation by volunteers were other activities of the camp.

A team of doctors including Medicine Specialist Dr. L Nyorak, Senior Child Specialist Dr. T Zirdo, Dental Surgeon Dr. O. Pertin, M.O.in-charge art Centre Dr. Moli Basar, Lab. Technician Dr. S.K. Dey (Blood Bank) and  nurses from Arunachal State Hospital Naharlagun  conducted the   free health  check up. Around 450 people/patients were benefitted from the camp. They were also offered free treatment and medicines.  An APSACS  team including counselors  Tabiit Tapak  and Tarom Ngurang also offered free counseling on HIV/AIDS. Dr. Tamar Kabak and staffs of Balijan CHC  extended their cooperation for grand success of the health camp.

 

Special summary revision 2013 held

BOMDILA, Sept 23: A Preparatory Training in connection with the Special Summary Revision 2013 was held at the district headquarters Bomdila this morning.

All the EROs/AEROs and AC Master Trainers of the district attended the training programme in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.

The training was imparted by the ADC cum ERO (hq) B.Dehingia and chaired by the DEO cum DC Rinchin Tashi. The CEO cum i/c Chief Secretary Yeshi Tsering attended the training as the Training Observer. DIPRO

 

Freshers’ meet

ITANAGAR, Sept 23: The Arunachal Students Union of Mumbai (ASUM) celebrated the annual fresher’s meet 2012 recently at Mumbai with participation of large number of Arunchalee students studying  there.

Mr. Tage Dususow and Ms. Kirpy Ori have been adjudged Mr and Miss Fresher respectively.

 

Tadar Tang Memorial Football Tournament

Lower Subansiri, Kurung Kumey win

ITANAGAR, Sep 23: Lower Subansiri beat West Kameng 3-1 to earn full points in a group ‘B” match in the 11th Tadar Tang Memorial State Level Football Tournament at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Naharlagun today. Both the teams were levelled 1-1 at the half time.

Lower Subansiri shot into lead 13 into the match through goal from Mihin Pullo. However, the lead short-lived as Vijay Kini of West Kameng found the net in 32nd minute to equalize it.

Three  times champion Lower Subansiri completely dominated the proceeding in the second half and scored two goals in 49th and 61st minutes through Nada Tamo to seal the match in their favour.

In another match of the day, Kurung Kumey held nerve to beat Capital Complex by solitary goal scored in 57th minute by Dari Kiran

Tawang will lock horn with Upper Subansiri tomorrow at 1 pm while Dibang Valley will play against Upper Siang at 3 pm.
